VIII Copa del Mediterráneo

20, 21, 22 and 23 de March

Puerto Portals welcomes the eighth edition of the Mediterranean Cup of the Dragon Class, a prestigious event organised by the Puerto Portals Sailing Club in collaboration with the Spanish Dragon Association, the International Dragon Class, and the Balearic Sailing Federation. In addition to awarding prizes to the top three overall finishers, the Best Classic and Best Corinthian trophies will also be presented.

The Dragon is an iconic sailing vessel designed by Johan Anker in 1929, which served as an Olympic class from 1948 to 1972. Today, the class boasts over 1,500 active boats across 26 countries, with Germany leading in the number of registered vessels. With a length of 9 metres, a beam of 2 metres, and an approximate weight of 1,700 kg, the Dragon embodies elegance, history, and competitiveness, standing as a symbol of international sailing excellence.
