Puerto Portals organises the sixth edition of the freshest and most summery market, in the purest Mediterranean style.
Puerto Portals celebrates the summer with the arrival of The Sunset Market, which will take place every Wednesday and Thursday from 22 July to 20 August 2017. The marine celebrates the sixth edition of this traditional summer market, which returns in full force to fill the sunsets with atmosphere and good music from 18h to 00h.
A summer stroll to the sound of the sea breeze and the rocking of the boats. The novelty of this edition will be the location of the stalls, which will be divided into three zones to comply with all security and social distancing measures, starting the event at the main dock of the port and culminating on the boulevard, where The Sunset Market is normally located.
More than twenty stalls where you can find Mallorcan designer espadrilles, handmade ceramics, island art, fashion, accessories, decoration or costume jewellery, as well as the live music which can be found strolling through the market, combining styles of jazz, blues, rock, flamenco or swing to the rhythm of Honolili or the Monkey Doo.
This year’s Art Corner will focus on the island of Mallorca, always supporting local artists. Throughout this season we will see works in the purest Mediterranean and Mallorcan style, featuring artists from different plastic arts, who through their work tell us a story, reusing materials and turning them into works of art.
The association Mallorca Sense Fam will be present for another year with the aim of raising funds to cover the needs of people at risk of social exclusion. Last year they managed to raise 3,500 euros with a second-hand book stall.
The port offers a world of flavours among its rich gastronomic offer, along the promenade you can taste Mediterranean cuisine at the restaurant Baiben or Flanigan savour delicious Italian food in Ritzi, Lollo Rosso or La Concha or taste the traditional Mallorcan food at S’Esponja Port, who will be present at the event. An ideal plan for your summer evenings.
