Sankt Martin
Puerto Portals is hosting the twelfth edition of Sankt Martin, a traditional festival of European origin that brings together children and families to enjoy a magical evening under the starlight and the glow of lanterns. On 14 November, from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm, we will once again be celebrating Sankt Martin with a very special aim: to raise funds for the Rana Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation working in the Balearic Islands to prevent child abuse and sexual abuse. How does it work?
- Register the participating child (aged 4 and over) by purchasing a ticket for each child taking part.
- On the day of the event, please go to the information stand to collect your wristband, which grants you access to the workshops.
- Complete the programme of activities: lantern-making workshop, biscuit-making workshop, the story of St Martin and the St Martin’s walk.
- For every registration, the full amount will be donated to the Rana Foundation. In addition, Puerto Portals will add a further €3 to the donation for each registered participant.
When night falls, Saint Martin appears on horseback and the youngest children in the harbour set off in search of him through the streets of the marina, lighting up the harbour with their lanterns. The event rounds off with some delicious hot chocolate and biscuits. We look forward to seeing you there for an afternoon full of magic and solidarity!
