FRESH DINOSAURS: In Inca, in 2017, José and María Hernández, and Leni Muntaner created this children’s clothes brand. Their first summer collection brought them several international clients at the Parish fashion week. Their designs, based on a love of the sea, the earth and nature, are commercialised in different parts of Oceanía, Asia and Europe.
SUITE 13: Alexia Izu and María Trepat are the founders of this slow fashion brand which combines simplicity with original style and ecological and social criteria in all of their collections. Nomads of design, lovers of fashion, chaotic and creative, their collections are present in multibrand stores in Spain and abroad.
PAU AULÍ: One of the most eclectic young designers, active in theatre, film and television. In 2017 he won the Art Jove prize for his first fashion collection entitled Estuve en Mallorca y me acordé de ti. In villages like Sóller, Esporles and Santa María he secured patterns from the early 20th century, and fabrics from factories now long-gone which he considers to be veritable jewels.
DATURA: The world of design took Stefania Borrás from Mallorca to Barcelona, and then to New York, where she created Datura in 2013. This women’s brand is based on nature, with the focus on environmental sustainability. Datura’s kimonos, dresses, trousers and skirts are steeped in sensuality and a sober, romantic and modern spirit.
SEBASTIÁN PONS: The latest collection by Sebastián Pons, Willderness, is a series of sustainable garments which moved the world of fashion with its ‘3 Rs’ concept: reduce, re-use and recycle. After studying at the prestigious Saint Martin’s School of Arts & Design, in London, he became the right-hand man of Alexander McQueen and also took part in Miguel Adrover’s project in New York.
