Dani Clos and Bea González, riding the classics in Puerto Portals

The former Formula 1 and the hostess of the TV show Centímetros Cúbicos participate as ambassadors of this XV Classic Rally

The XV edition of the Classic Rally counts with first-class ambassadors. Dani Clos, professional pilot and former Formula 1, and Bea González Eguiraun, hostess of Centímetros Cúbicos and motorbike and car test driver, will participate together as ambassadors in the event that gathers the jewels of motor sport on the island of Majorca; they will run the different speed category tests in the vehicle 00, a Porsche Boxster.

They will both roam the curves of Cabo Formentor or Sa Clobra, amongst others, escorting the participants in the various routes that will take place between March 7th, 8th and 9th. Clos and González, who is rallying for the first time, will share the duties of pilot and co-pilot in order to fully enjoy the Classic Rally experience.

During the next days, three German female teams will participate too in the regularity category: Depraetere and Peeters in a 1972 Porsche 911; Oellig and Kerstan in a 1979 Porsche 911 SC, and Rothkirch and Font in a 1972 VW Karmann Ghia.

The Classic Rally, that kicked-off today at 19 pm, counts with 98 registered vehicles from countries like Germany, United Kingdom, United States or Argentina, amongst others. More than thirty motor sports classics have Spanish flag, with renowned pilots like Guillermo Dezcallar and Mariano Rosselló, who drive a 1971 Seat 124 Sport; Luis Nigorra and Miriam Canals, will make a 1963 Jaguar XKE roar or Joan Verguer and Toni Barceló, who will race with a 1973 BMW 2002 TII.

The participants will tour approximately 90 kilometres throughout the three rally days, which will conclude with the award ceremony next Saturday at 19.45 pm in Puerto Portals’ Plaza Capricho.
