Majorca’s paradise across seven coves

Sorrounded by an extensive chromatic range of blues, Majorca hosts a grand paradise from its coastline to its inland area. Some of the most iconic Mediterranean cove beaches (calas) are located within the biggest Balearic island, we now recommend our Top 5:

Cala Tuent:When driving down the dizzying road of Sa Calobra we find a turnoff to cove paradise, Cala Tuent. It lies at almost 25 miles from Sóller, this heaven on earth is one of the very few unspoilt coves to be found in the island. Bathed by a vast blue sea and sorrounded by the Tramuntana mountain range, we can’t think of a better place to spend the day in the company of a good book.

Cala Varques:Now we head towards the island’s east, to Cala Varques. A magical place fringed by nature, which can be accessed by a short hike, starting from the intersection with Porto Cristo road.

Cala Deià: In the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range stands the charming village of Deià, and just a few miles from it lies Cala Deià, washed by transparent waters and bordered by mountainous landscape. Two reputed restaurants are located there: Ca’s Patro March and Ca’n Lluc, where tasty fresh palate-pleasing seafood and fish are served.

Cala Banyalbufar: On a unique spot within the Tramuntana mountain range, we find Cala Banyalbufar, placed at 10.5 miles from Valldemossa. Circled by cliffs and a beautiful waterfall, ideal to cool down, it is also sorrounded by a matchless sea bottom.

Cala Màrmols: At about 8.5 miles from Ses Salines this amazing unspoilt cove is found, rarely frequented due to its difficult access, it can be reached after a two hour hike or by anchoring a boat in its waters. This magical scene is rimmed by endless cliffs 66 ft. high and it holds amazing wildlife and vegetation.
